Aiming to encourage people to tell their own stories and to visualize the UNHCR data on displaced refugees.

I exported the experience to a new location: Akub, a Palestinian restaurant owned by Fadi Kattan from Bethlehem. He uses food to educate about Palestine,  As he says “ food is an essential way to challenge ignorance " witch made it a perfect location

The menu draws from the restaurant's focus on "sharing plates" representing Palestine's diverse regions: coast, Mediterranean, and desert. I selected dishes from the original menu to align with the event's narrative.

Since I've observed that during events in the restaurant, all the lights are typically left on, lacking a focal point, I have decided to address this with our transitional lighting between performances. The light serves as the transition, with the food acting as the entryway. The light serves as the transition, with the food acting as the entryway.

By selecting a city from each side of Palestine and inspired by the patterns found on traditional garments, known as "Tatreez," I've developed a disk embedded with an Adreno to be placed within the restaurant's lamps. Each projection on the disk symbolizes a city: Bethlehem, Ramallah, Khalil, and Gaza. After the projection is displayed onto the table, it gradually fades out, making way for the stairs that introduce a speaker correlating to the dish.
Fadi mentioned in a podcast that he wishes more people knew about hummus, and by serving it, he reclaimed the dish for Palestinians. So Will be Starting with "make your own hummus,"or as I named it "Plant a Revolution '' on the menu, inspired by Mahmoud Darwish's poem.

This will be accompanied by a projection of Bethlehem, his birthplace, followed by a talk guiding the audience through the day.

Starting with the coast of Palestine, we will be serving Dagga Ghazawi. While projecting the embroidery, we will later transition to Lara, known as "Gazzan Girl" on Instagram. She is a lawyer , activist, writer, and podcast host from Gaza.

Ending the night with a plate of reliance, or as put in the menu by closing the poem of the Mohammed Darwesh: Harvest a homeland."
